11 Weeks

Ok here's how I feel at 11 weeks pregnant.

*Boobs aren't that sore any more, just at random times.
*Feel a bit sick in the mornings and occasionally have a gagging fit which includes terrible retching noises but fortunately, no vomit.
*I can smell anything. Something in the pantry smells odd, but I can't track it down. Other times, I open the cupboard and it smells fine.
*Not really fussed about any food (and I'm usually a foodie).
*Lazy - but that's pretty close to my normal behaviour/feeling.
*Nervous, particularly when going to the toilet.
*I now have veins on my boobs and hips that are kind of fascinating but also a bit horrifying.
*I can become ferocious, like VERY BAD PMS. Also weepy and I don't like reading or hearing anything sad - especially related to babies, motherhood, pregnancy etc etc etc. Super sensitive.
*Frustrated. I'd like to be able to have another ultrasound and check eevrything's ok and I'd like to tell everyone, but I also want to wait until I'm at 12 weeks. My next Drs Apptmt is on the 11th of Feb. We'll tell husband's parents, his sister, my sisters & friends after the 16th.
*I have the most vivid and whacked out dreams. I've had lots of sexual dreams, like a threesome and sex with an old man who was a truckie (? I know???). I dream about confronting people I dislike and all kinds of other weird stuff. It's like I'm on a trip every night.

*A tiny part of me is bursting with hope. I can see myself holding a little one and feeling blissfully happy. I can imagine a child running up to my husband and saying "Daddy!" I have a vision of a child growing up to become someone worthwhile and a sense within myself that I created that wonderful person.

·Random Boob Soreness ?!! Good Lord, it really is a vengeful God – She only picked an apple for Christ sakes! (personally I’m skipping Purgatory and going straight to Hell)

·I get the drive-heaves to every morning, well M-F, but that only because I have to deal with the employee I’ll be firing in a few weeks when he finally gets done spiraling out of control.

·Smelling (on a serious note) It’s really interesting what a woman’s body does while they’re pregnant. Food cravings, curly hair going straight, smell – It would be so cool to be able to understand why, what is it in the whole process that’s going on ? Does one phase (morning sickness, cravings) have some direct connection to the stages of the babies development ? Life, as you know now, better than I ever will, is freaking amazing.

·I’m not sure I understand what being fussed at food is. I may need an Aussie to Yank translation. I’m never fussed with food if it’s take out, delivery, or made by Jay (Partner)

·Lazy, Atta girl. My love for you just grew ten-fold right there.

·Sheesh! Would you stop with the checking – It’ll happen or it won’t – and it won’t – stop doing that to yourself love. (tough love from Unky)

·Veins ? never heard of that one. Do they go away later ? EEK !

·PMS/Weepy/Sensitive - again, she only took one apple – I don’t get it. Sorry Love (and Sorry Hubby)

·Two weeks baby, you made it this far: Invite them to dinner and put a photocopy of the ultrasound pic folded under they’re dinner plates. When dinner is over remove they’re plates and let them figure it out.

·Dreams. LOL doesn’t really cover my reaction ---more like ---“Dam girl that is the funniest thing I’ve read in this century” Get a pad of paper and a pen on your nightstand – Share the ones you want and keep the private ones private – But those could be really funny stories. Stories to tell the tadpole when she’s 30.

·Serious again, I’ve always had a sixth sense since I was a child – When I know in my heart that something is going to happen for sure I get a certain feeling. It comes to me from nowhere but it’s just this solid absolute feeling. You’re going to have a little girl.

·I dare you to prove Uncle wrong-

·Love to you – have a great weekend.

Hey - don't knock the truckie sex until you try it! I wake up feeling quite satisfied!

Somebody clue. a clueless boy in - What's truckie sex?

I find it disturbing that there may be a type of sex I haven't tried.

Hey Uncle Brad,

Look the truckie sex thing isn't something you should worry about. It was just this weird dream - maybe if you tried falling preggers you could have the dream too, but....

I dreamt last night I had a brazilian (the wax, not the boy, but that could be on the cards!! :) ) The night before I dreamt two mice were biting me on my index fingers. Good grief - this could be a blog in itself!!

I loved reading your post, it brought back memories. Do you have that woman bond thing yet? When you start to show it gets very cool. It's like joining a new society. The smell thing drove me crazy. Fireplace smoke made me completely sick and there seemed to be no way to escape it. It was all absorbing. It's like you have the acute sense of smell like a dog has. Now my daughter is 20 years old and it feels like she was born yesterday. She has grown into an amazing young woman and is very much a gift to this world.

POST! - it will be a week since your last tomorrow. I'm just saying...

Mad wind storm here tonight. Were surronded by trees on three sides on top of a hill, some as old as the house - 1918 - I'm thinking of sleeeping in the basement.

send us a word love
